In this latest v7.7 release of SecureDB, we continue to evolve your toolkit, making it easier to build a resilient organization, drive accountability, and uncover deeper insights. From backups on your Accountability Charts to a smarter way to handle Tasks and Challenges, this version 7.7 packs meaningful enhancements inspired by your real-world needs.
New “Backup” Field for Every Seat
You’ll now see a Backup field on every user profile (or “seat”) in the Accountability Charts and across all similar environments, like user profiles in SecureDB. By default, it’s set to the user’s Primary “Reports To” but can be cleared or reassigned (especially in the “Future Accountability Chart“) to anyone best suited to fill in when needed.

This way, whether someone’s out sick, on vacation, or simply unavailable, there’s a clear backup in place—keeping your organization running without a hitch.
SWOT Now Embedded in Your Business Plans
We’ve added a SWOT tool directly into the planner. This classic strategic planning framework—breaking down internal Strengths and Weaknesses alongside external Opportunities and Threats—lives inside each planner and can even be embedded into Meetings.

So instead of juggling outside docs, you can explore your SWOT analysis right alongside your goals, issues, and metrics.
“Promised Tasks” for Sharper Accountability
Introducing Promised Tasks: a new attribute that highlights Tasks people commit to delivering. When marked as “Promised,” a Task gets a special badge, and only these Tasks count toward a user’s “Percent of Tasks Completed on Time.”

This distinction helps teams differentiate between what’s nice to do and what’s truly critical: driving more meaningful accountability.
Milestone Tasks for Projects
Tasks for Projects now automatically get a designation of a milestone Task. These Tasks receive an “M” badge and do not show up on a user’s main Task list page initially. When the milestone’s deadline falls within 7 days of the current date, it will automatically show up in the user’s main Task list.
Flag Challenges as “Long-Term Issues”
In the Challenge modal, there’s now a Long-Term Issue toggle. Turning this on adds a visual badge and ensures the Challenge is automatically pulled into your planner list. This way, you can distinguish quick hits from deeper, more persistent challenges—and manage them appropriately.
Mention Users with @ Notifications
Much like GitHub, Teams, or Slack, you can now @ mention someone directly inside our rich text editor to fire off a notification. This is perfect for pulling someone’s attention to a comment, note, or context that affects them, even if it’s not directly assigned to them.

It’s a simple way to make collaboration sharper and ensure nothing important slips through the cracks.
More Flexible Meeting Agendas
Previously, you could only have one of each meeting section type—one Open Notes, one Challenge Discussion, etc. Now you can add multiple sections of the same type, each with its own name and purpose. Want one Open Notes section titled “Issue Processing” and another titled “Learns from the Week”? Go for it.

Accountability Charts UI Upgrades
We gave Accountability Charts a thoughtful facelift. Now each node doesn’t just show the name, title, and performance score, it includes richer details that give more context at a glance. Plus, we think it looks cooler.
Invite Guests to Meetings by Email
With v7.7, you can invite guests to your meetings by simply entering their email addresses. This makes it easy to bring in partners, consultants, or anyone outside your org when their insight matters.
Wrapping Up
SecureDB v7.7 ties together practical upgrades that make your work smoother and your team’s accountability sharper—from strategic planning with SWOT to real-time notifications through “@ mentions.” As always, these improvements are rooted in your feedback and real operational needs.
