  5. v5 Released

A big deployment to Production was completed early this morning. Allow me to introduce you to the first version of the new SecureDB v5 suite. The version 5 suite will focus on unobtrusive enhancements to Meetings, Projects, and Reviews. Here’s what came out in v5.

  1. Event Listeners – When two or more people are in a meeting at the same time, you’ll see tasks and challenges sync between browsers (without refresh) as well as little notifications that come up from the bottom of your screen (we call those “Hat Tips” – https://github.com/jdmdigital/hat-tip).
  2. New “Composite Scores” People Analytics Report – If you have access to People Analytics, you’ll see a new report option called “Composite Scores.” This report includes ALL the scores for each user in the organization in each quarter (feedback, reviews, objectives, etc) as well as an average of all of them (the “composite score,” get it?)
  3. Adding Objectives from inside a Meeting – You’ll see a new “Add Objective” button above the scoreboard in meetings for those last-minute objectives you want to start tracking in your meeting.
  4. Edit Meeting from Inside a Meeting – From the meeting preview, you can click the “Edit Meeting” button to open a modal to edit your meeting agenda without ever actually leaving the meeting preview.
  5. Meeting Agenda Collapsible – Is your agenda getting in the way? Click the new arrow to the right of the word “Agenda” to collapse it and make your meeting window that much wider.
  6. Detailed Objective Trends in Reviews – New reviews now include a detailed, zoomable trend chart on the first page (to the right) instead of the old, static table.
  7. Detour Alert! – Meeting discussion getting off-topic? Click the new “Detour Alert” button. We don’t care to hear about your vacation in Mexico. Click “Take the Detour” if you want to add a new IDS about how we ALL should probably have a corporate retreat in Mexico. Guess we’re not off-topic after all.
  8. Updates to Rocks in Meetings – Added avatars with tooltips to rocks inside your meeting AND you can now drag & drop them if you want to review them in a particular order.
  9. “Related Articles” in Knowledge Base – Each of the several hundred articles in our knowledge base now include automated “related articles” to help customers understand all that Etho can do and how it does it.

That’s the big stuff. Version 5 also includes numerous performance improvements, logic optimization, updates for security, and 247 other little things only nerds like me care about.

NOTE: Version 5 includes a “version bump” to prevent a cache conflict so you may notice the app running a little sluggish for another few hours while the cache gets primed again.
