GWC®

Assess if someone is in the right role, evaluating their ability to “get it,” “want it,” and “have the capacity.”

GWC® is used to determine if a person is the right fit for their role within the organization. GWC stands for:

  • Gets it: The individual truly understands their role, the culture, the systems, the pace, and how the job fits together within the organization. They naturally “get” what is required and how to perform effectively.
  • Wants it: The person genuinely wants the role and the responsibilities that come with it. They have the desire and motivation to take on the tasks and challenges inherent in the position.
  • Capacity to do it: This refers to the individual’s ability to handle the job’s demands. Capacity includes having the time, skills, knowledge, and emotional intelligence necessary to perform at a high level. If any of these are lacking, the person might struggle to succeed in the role.

GWC is used as a filter when assigning roles, ensuring that each team member is not only competent but also aligned with the organization’s goals and culture. If someone lacks in any of these three areas, it indicates a mismatch between the person and the role, and adjustments may be needed.

How GWC® works in SecureDB

In SecureDB, select an employee that directly reports to you from the dropdown at the top. Then, each row lists the Skills. Under each column for “Get it,” “Want it,” and “Capacity to do it,” click the table cell to cycle through “Yes,” “No,” or nothing. The final row is what will be used in the People Analyzer for this employee.

NOTE: The final score is NOT an average. Rather, if any cell in that column is a “No,” the final score for that column is a “No.”
