Effortlessly Create or Edit Categories in Performance Scoring

Managing categories in your Performance Scoring application is straightforward and efficient. Whether you’re adding new categories or editing existing ones, the process is designed to be user-friendly. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Log In to Performance Scoring:
    • Begin by logging into your company’s Performance Scoring application.
  2. Accessing Manage Categories:
    • Navigate to the Manage Categories page. This can be done by selecting ‘Administration’, then ‘Manage Categories’. Click on ‘Settings’, and a dropdown menu will appear where you should select ‘Manage Categories’. For more details, visit Manage Categories.
  3. Viewing Categories:
    • On the Manage Categories page, you’ll see all the categories created within the application. These categories might include Feedback and Objectives, accessible based on your role permissions.
  4. Editing a Category:
    • To edit a category, simply click “edit” next to the category you want to modify. You can then change the name of the category as needed.
  5. Adding a New Category:
    • To add a new category, click the “Add New” button at the top of the page.
    • Choose the Category type – either Feedback or Objective. Remember, Objectives are measurable goals set over a prolonged period, while Feedback is measured in the moment.
    • Enter the name for your new category.
  6. Setting Category Scope:
    • If the category is applicable to all users (like Company Policy or Training & Development), select “Global” before submitting.
    • If it’s specific to certain users, go to each user’s profile under ‘Users’ in the ‘Add/Manage Users’ page and specify whether they ‘Can Score In’ or ‘Is Scored In’ the new category.
  7. Organizing with Category Groups:
    • After creating your categories, you can further organize them by adding Category Groups. This makes viewing and managing categories on the Dashboard even more convenient. For more on this, visit Category Groups.
