Related Action Items let you connect one Action Item to another. A parent Action Item is the larger item, while child Action Items are smaller items that support or break down the parent.
Set an Existing Parent Action Item
Use this option when the current Action Item should belong under another Action Item. Select the parent Action Item from the dropdown, then click Set Parent.
Add an Existing Child Action Item
Use this option when another existing Action Item should be added under the current Action Item. Select the child Action Item from the dropdown, then click Add Child.
Create a New Child Action Item
Click Create Sub-Action Item to create a new child Action Item under the current Action Item. Fill out the Sub-Action Item info and select Save Sub-Action Item. The new child Action Item will be linked to its parent automatically.
Once all relationships are set up, they are visible in the related Action Items portion of the Action Item modal.
