{"id":21101,"date":"2026-07-06T15:59:52","date_gmt":"2026-07-06T20:59:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/securedb.io\/kb\/?p=21101"},"modified":"2026-07-06T15:59:53","modified_gmt":"2026-07-06T20:59:53","slug":"using-the-leadership-compass-participant-dashboard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/securedb.io\/kb\/?p=21101","title":{"rendered":"Using the Leadership Compass Participant Dashboard"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Participant Dashboard is the main starting point for your Leadership Compass work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It shows your progress, your next step, your available pillars, and the actions you need to take as you move toward your final Leadership Compass Guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What the Participant Dashboard is for<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The dashboard helps you answer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Where am I in the process?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What should I do next?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Which pillars are available?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How much progress have I made?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do I need to enter CliftonStrengths?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Am I ready to generate my guide?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do I need help from a facilitator?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead of guessing where to go, use the dashboard as your home base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Overall progress<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your dashboard may show an overall progress percentage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This progress is based on the pillars enabled for your cohort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>if your cohort uses only Pillar 1, completing Pillar 1 may complete the active program phase<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>if your cohort uses Pillars 1\u20133, progress is based on those three pillars<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>if your cohort uses all five pillars, progress is based on all five<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Disabled pillars should not count against your completion percentage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Your next step<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The dashboard should guide you toward your next action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your next step may be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>enter CliftonStrengths<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>begin Pillar 1<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>continue a pillar you already started<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>review reflection cards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>accept reflection cards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>move to the next enabled pillar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>generate your Leadership Compass Guide<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>continue into post-program reflection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are unsure what to do, start with the dashboard\u2019s next-step button or prompt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CliftonStrengths entry<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Leadership Compass may allow you to enter your CliftonStrengths results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your strengths can help shape the reflection process and make your guide more personal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may be asked to enter your top strengths before beginning or while completing Pillar 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What if I do not have CliftonStrengths?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you do not have CliftonStrengths results, your organization may allow you to skip this step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Skipping CliftonStrengths does not necessarily prevent you from continuing Leadership Compass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your dashboard gives you a skip option, use it only if you do not have your results available or your Champion has instructed you to continue without them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Available pillars<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your dashboard may show the pillars included in your cohort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The five possible pillars are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Know Your Core<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set Your Standard<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Live Your Promise<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead Your Team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Refine Your Compass<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Your cohort may include all five pillars or only selected pillars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pillar status<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Each pillar may have a status such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>not started<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in progress<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ready for review<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>completed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Use these statuses to understand where you are and what still needs attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Starting a pillar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When you start a pillar, you will answer a series of guided reflection questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your answers help Leadership Compass create reflection cards that you can review, edit, and accept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take your time. The goal is not just to finish quickly. The goal is to build a Compass that sounds like you and reflects how you want to lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Continuing a pillar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you leave a pillar before finishing it, you may be able to return later and continue where you left off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Use the dashboard to find your next available action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the dashboard shows a pillar as in progress, open that pillar and continue the remaining steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reflection cards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After you complete a pillar, Leadership Compass may generate reflection cards based on your answers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reflection cards help turn your raw responses into clearer leadership language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may be able to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>review each card<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>edit the wording<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>accept the card<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>revisit the related question<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>receive facilitator feedback, if assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Accepted reflection cards become building blocks for your Leadership Compass Guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When am I done with a pillar?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A pillar is generally complete when:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>all required questions are answered<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the pillar workflow reaches completion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reflection cards are generated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reflection cards are reviewed and accepted, if required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If a pillar still appears incomplete, check whether there are unanswered questions or unaccepted reflection cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When am I done with Leadership Compass?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You are generally done with the active program phase when all enabled pillars for your cohort are complete and required reflection cards have been accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After that, your dashboard may guide you to generate your Leadership Compass Guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Building your guide<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you complete the selected pillars, you may be able to generate your Leadership Compass Guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The guide is built from your accepted reflections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on your completed pillars, your guide may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>your core leadership identity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>your values<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>your strengths<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>your leadership philosophy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>your standards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>your commitments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>your team leadership practices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>your development roadmap<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Messaging a facilitator<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If your cohort has a facilitator assigned, you may be able to message them from your dashboard or completion experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Use facilitator messaging when:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>you are stuck<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>you are unsure how to answer a question<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>you want help interpreting reflection cards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>you need guidance before accepting cards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>you want to request a check-in<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requesting a check-in<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Some cohorts may allow you to request a check-in with your facilitator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A check-in can help you talk through your reflections, clarify your leadership commitments, or prepare to use your guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Common questions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is my progress not 100%?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You may still have an enabled pillar to complete, unanswered questions, or reflection cards that need review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why do I not see all five pillars?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Your cohort may not include all five pillars. You only need to complete the pillars enabled for your cohort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can I skip CliftonStrengths?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Possibly. If your dashboard gives you a skip option, you can continue without entering strengths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can I edit my answers?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This depends on the workflow stage. In many cases, you can edit reflection cards before accepting them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why can\u2019t I generate my guide yet?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You may need to complete all enabled pillars and accept required reflection cards first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who can see my dashboard?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Your dashboard is primarily for you. Leaders or facilitators may see progress information depending on their role and assignment, but private reflection visibility should be scoped carefully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I do not see Leadership Compass.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You may not have been added to a cohort, the cohort may not be active, or Leadership Compass may not be enabled for your organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">My next step looks wrong.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Refresh the page and review your pillar status. If it still looks wrong, contact your Champion or Facilitator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I completed a pillar but progress did not update.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Check whether reflection cards still need to be reviewed or accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I entered CliftonStrengths but they are not showing.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Confirm that your entries were saved. If needed, return to the CliftonStrengths step and save again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I cannot open the next pillar.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The pillar may not be enabled, may require completion of a previous step, or may need to be unlocked for your cohort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Best practices<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use the dashboard as your home base.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow the next-step prompt.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter CliftonStrengths if you have them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take time with reflection questions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review and edit reflection cards before accepting them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ask a facilitator for help if you are stuck.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete all enabled pillars before trying to generate your guide.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Participant Dashboard keeps your Leadership Compass work organized and helps you move from first reflection to final guide.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Participant Dashboard is the main starting point for your Leadership Compass work.
