{"id":21082,"date":"2026-07-06T14:50:05","date_gmt":"2026-07-06T19:50:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/securedb.io\/kb\/?p=21082"},"modified":"2026-07-06T14:50:05","modified_gmt":"2026-07-06T19:50:05","slug":"leadership-compass-pricing-and-pillar-unlocks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/securedb.io\/kb\/?p=21082","title":{"rendered":"Leadership Compass Pricing and Pillar Unlocks"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Leadership Compass can include both free and paid portions depending on your organization\u2019s setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal is to let organizations begin with a simple starting point, then unlock deeper leadership development work when they are ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is included at no cost?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The free portion of Leadership Compass generally includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Leadership Compass access<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CliftonStrengths entry<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pillar 1: Know Your Core<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the initial Leadership Philosophy informed by Pillar 1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This gives participants a meaningful starting experience without requiring the full five-pillar program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What may require an unlock?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional pillars may require an unlock depending on your organization\u2019s agreement and cohort setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pillars that may require unlocks are usually:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pillar 2: Set Your Standard<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pillar 3: Live Your Promise<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pillar 4: Lead Your Team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pillar 5: Refine Your Compass<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If these pillars are not unlocked, they may not be available for the cohort or participant workflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why are some pillars unlocked separately?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The later pillars go deeper into leadership development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>more guided reflection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>more detailed leadership standards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>accountability systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>team leadership practices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>facilitator review<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>guide generation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>post-program tools<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>long-term leadership tracking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlocks help match the scope of the program to the organization\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is counted for pricing?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Pricing is generally based on participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Participant is someone completing the Leadership Compass pillar workflow and building a personal Leadership Compass Guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Support roles such as Leaders and Facilitators are not usually counted as paid participants just because they are helping support the cohort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participants vs support roles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participants<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants complete the pillar workflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They may:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>enter CliftonStrengths<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>answer pillar questions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>review reflection cards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>accept or edit their reflections<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>generate a Leadership Compass Guide<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>use the post-program dashboard<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants are generally the users counted for program pricing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Leaders<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Leaders support participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They may:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>view assigned participant progress<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>encourage completion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>support accountability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>monitor cohort movement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Leaders are support roles. role?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A person can have more than one role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a Leader may also complete Leadership Compass as a Participant<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a Champion may also be a Participant<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a Facilitator may support one cohort while participating in another<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If someone is completing the pillar workflow as a Participant, they may count as a participant for pricing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How unlocks affect cohort setup<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When creating or editing a cohort, the selected pillars determine the scope of the participant experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If only Pillar 1 is enabled, participants complete the introductory Leadership Compass experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If Pillars 2\u20135 are enabled, the cohort may require additional unlocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before launching a cohort, Champions should confirm:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>which pillars are enabled<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>how many participants are included<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>whether additional pillars are unlocked<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>whether pricing has been approved<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>whether support roles are set correctly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>whether the cohort setup matches the intended program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How unlocks affect participants<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants only see and complete the pillars enabled for their cohort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If a pillar is not unlocked or not enabled, the participant should not be required to complete it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The participant\u2019s completion percentage should be based on enabled pillars only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>if a cohort enables only Pillar 1, completing Pillar 1 completes the active program phase<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>if a cohort enables Pillars 1\u20133, completing those three pillars completes the active program phase<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>if a cohort enables all five pillars, completing all five pillars completes the active program phase<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How unlocks affect the final guide<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Leadership Compass Guide is assembled from the participant\u2019s accepted reflections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If only Pillar 1 is completed, the guide may focus on core values, strengths, purpose, and leadership identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If all five pillars are completed, the guide may include a fuller leadership philosophy, standards, commitments, team practices, roadmap, and recommitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The more pillars a participant completes, the richer the final guide can be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How unlocks affect facilitators<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Facilitators may support both free and paid Leadership Compass experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A facilitator may help with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>reflection card review<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>participant questions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>check-in requests<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>guide cohort?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are leaders or facilitators assigned?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do we have enough time for the deeper reflection work?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Has pricing been reviewed and approved?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are participants aware of the expected commitment?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recommended approaches<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 Be careful if participants have already completed the original selected pillars, because adding new pillars may change expectations and completion status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can different participants have different unlocked pillars?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Usually pillar selection is cohort-level.
