Once on the main Projects page, click the <strong>+ New Project<\/strong> button at the top. That will open the \u201cNew Project\u201d modal window for you to enter some basic information about this new Project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alternatively, Projects can be created from within Meetings from the&nbsp;Projects&nbsp;section of the meeting agenda by clicking New Project. Both methods will produce the&nbsp;Project&nbsp;creation modal.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/securedb.io\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/Rocks-Overview-2-1-1-1024x512.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20442\" style=\"width:813px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/securedb.io\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/Rocks-Overview-2-1-1-1024x512.png 1024w, https:\/\/securedb.io\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/Rocks-Overview-2-1-1-300x150.png 300w, https:\/\/securedb.io\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/Rocks-Overview-2-1-1-768x384.png 768w, https:\/\/securedb.io\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/Rocks-Overview-2-1-1-868x434.png 868w, https:\/\/securedb.io\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/Rocks-Overview-2-1-1-980x490.png 980w, https:\/\/securedb.io\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/Rocks-Overview-2-1-1.png 1320w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fields and Their Meaning<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Project&nbsp;Template:<\/strong> If your organization has created <a href=\"https:\/\/securedb.io\/kb\/?p=17926&amp;brand=performancescoring\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Project Templates<\/a>, (update that page) you can select one here, and most of the following fields will be auto populated.&nbsp;Project due date and any Task deadline dates from the template will automatically adjust to the start date chosen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Start Date:<\/strong> The date your&nbsp;Project&nbsp;will begin.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Due Date:<\/strong> The date your&nbsp;Project&nbsp;is expected to be completed.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Project Name:<\/strong> The title of your Project.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Subtitle:<\/strong> Short clarification of the&nbsp;Project&nbsp;name.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Description:<\/strong> A broad overview of the Project\u2019s purpose and goals.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Owner:<\/strong> User with the rights to make major updates to the Project, such as changing its start and end dates, changing viewers or members, and marking the Project complete.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Team Members:<\/strong> Users working on this Project. They can create\/edit Tasks associated with it (if they have that permission in their user role) and reassign those Tasks to other team members.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Select Existing Team:<\/strong> If your organization has <a href=\"https:\/\/securedb.io\/kb\/?p=10934\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"10934\">Teams<\/a> set up, they can be added as a whole unit to a Project.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Meetings:<\/strong> Add the&nbsp;Project&nbsp;to existing meetings.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Initiative:<\/strong> If the&nbsp;Project&nbsp;is part of a larger long-term Initiative for the company, add it here. Initiatives are managed separately in <a href=\"https:\/\/securedb.io\/kb\/?p=14767\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Project Settings<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Viewers: <\/strong>Interested parties who can see the&nbsp;Project&nbsp;and its status, but they are not actively working on it.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>New Task Button:<\/strong> Break the&nbsp;Project&nbsp;up into smaller, manageable pieces here. Add as many as you want. For a detailed look at Task creation, <a href=\"https:\/\/securedb.io\/kb\/?p=12744\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">click here<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you\u2019ve got all that done, click the red <strong>Create New Project<\/strong> button.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After your&nbsp;Project&nbsp;has been created, you can access it from the main&nbsp;Projects&nbsp;screen by clicking the title or the View button.
