Using the Project list<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The full Project list retains company Projects and owner groups. Group headings identify the owner by name and photo or initials. Company indicators, completion dates, status controls, View actions, and record menus remain available where your permissions allow them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use Search, Filter, and Sort by to narrow and order the list. The items-per-page selector and pagination controls change the displayed results within the relevant list. A search result count helps you see how many matching records are available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On a narrower screen, records condense so the name, due date, status, owner, and actions remain readable. Open View or the Project name for the complete details. Organization-specific Project and status names follow Naming Conventions<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creating a Project<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SecureDB\u2018s Projects management module allows users to organize Tasks into Projects. Users can initiate a new Project<\/a> by accessing the \u201cProjects List\u201d in the main navigation under \u201cProjects\u201d. Once on the Projects page, click \u201cNew Project\u201d, and enter details such as start date, deadline, name, subtitle, and a brief description. Additionally, the Project owner, viewers, and team members are selected, and if necessary, the Project can be linked to meetings and associated with organizational Initiatives. Finally, Tasks for the Project can be created before saving the Project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NOTE<\/strong>: The logged-in user must have “Access Projects” enabled in their role permissions to see Projects or Tasks. See more in the Permissions Glossary<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tasks in Projects<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tasks<\/a> serve as manageable pieces of the larger Project and can be assigned to one or more individuals or entire teams. As stated earlier, Tasks can be added during\u00a0Project\u00a0creation, or users can add or edit Project Tasks by opening an existing Project. Tasks within a Project are automatically designated as “milestones”. Milestone Tasks can always be accessed from within a Project but will only appear on a user’s task list when they are within 7 days of the due date or late.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project Management<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once Tasks associated with the Project and ownership is assigned for each Task, the Project management process can begin. Sub-Tasks can be written out within Task details or broken into separate Tasks. Tasks can be marked as “Not Started,” “In Progress,” or “Complete.” Once all Tasks within a Project are completed, the Project can be marked complete by the owner after giving Factor on the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Communication of Progress<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The overall Project completeness is automatically calculated based on the sum of Task statuses relative to the deadline of the Project, but don’t worry, the application provides flexibility. Anywhere Projects are found, the owner can use the dropdown to convey the Project‘s progress by selecting “On Track”, “Off Track”, or “Done”. Selecting Done will prompt the user to officially mark the Project complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NOTE<\/strong>: Users with “Company Settings” permission in their role can update the names of the three Project statuses in Naming Conventions<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
