To add Objectives in SecureDB, select Administration<\/em><\/strong> in the navigation menu, then select Manage <\/strong><\/em>Objectives<\/strong> from the dropdown. On the next page, select Add <\/em>Objective<\/strong> near the top left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Objectives can also be added through meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, select whether the Objectives will be a numeric (Objective) goal or if it will be a scale goal (more subjective).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, set the Objectives<\/strong> Orientation<\/em><\/strong>, then enter the Value(s)<\/strong><\/em> under Goal<\/strong><\/em>. Orientation<\/em><\/strong> allows users to choose how performance against the goal will be measured. The available Goal Orientations are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Inside Range [min, max]<\/strong> \u2013 The value must fall within a defined range.
    Example:<\/em> Success if between 90 and 110.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Outside Range (value < min OR value > max)<\/strong> \u2013 Success occurs when the value falls outside the defined range.
    Example:<\/em> Success if below 60 or above 120.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Greater Than Goal (strict)<\/strong> \u2013 The result must be strictly greater than<\/em> the goal value.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Greater Than or Equal To Goal<\/strong> \u2013 The result must be greater than or equal to<\/em> the goal value.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Equal To Goal (exact)<\/strong> \u2013 The result must match the goal value exactly<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Less Than Goal (strict)<\/strong> \u2013 The result must be strictly less than<\/em> the goal value.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Less Than or Equal To Goal<\/strong> \u2013 The result must be less than or equal to<\/em> the goal value.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Now that the orientation and its value is set, select Units<\/em><\/strong>, Frequency<\/em><\/strong>, and then type a Description<\/em><\/strong> of the Objective<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Next, select the Scope<\/em><\/strong>: Individual<\/em><\/strong>, role<\/em><\/strong>, or Team<\/em><\/strong>, then select the coresponding Individual, role, or Team the Objectives is for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Next, select the Objectives Category<\/em><\/strong>, then set the Status<\/em><\/strong> to Active <\/em><\/strong>or Inactive<\/em><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Formula Builder<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    To create a Objective calculated by other Objectives, toggle on the formula builder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Begin by selecting the first Objective in the formula from the Insert Objective dropdown and then select Insert. Next, select any math operators needed between the Objectives or insert any numbers needed. To complete your formula, make sure to close it with the end parenthesis “)” button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If you need to edit your formula at any time, toggle on Edit Formula Expression, and you will be able to edit withing the text box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
